Crop Applications

From tomatoes to vineyards —
one twine, every crop.

Our cotton greenhouse twine is trusted by commercial growers across Europe and the Middle East for high-density vertical cultivation. It supports stems without bruising, degrades cleanly at end of season, and leaves no plastic residue in the soil.

🍅 Tomatoes

Tomato Trellising Twine

High-tensile multi-ply cotton twine for vertical tomato cultivation systems. Supports indeterminate varieties through full growing seasons without stretching or slipping. Compostable after harvest — no residue clean-up.

🥒 Cucumbers

Cucumber & Courgette Support

Soft-twist cotton twine that guides climbing cucumbers without stem abrasion. Compatible with Dutch-style greenhouse clips and twisting systems. Available in light to medium ply for flexible lateral and vertical support.

🌶️ Peppers

Pepper & Aubergine Cultivation

Medium-ply natural cotton twine for pepper plant staking and lateral branch support. Gentle grip prevents bark damage on woody stems. Widely used in Aegean and Anatolian greenhouse operations.

🍇 Viticulture

Vineyard Trellis Twine

Durable twisted cotton twine for vine shoot training and cane tying. UV exposure does not release microplastics. At season end, twine biodegrades in the soil within weeks — fully compatible with organic viticulture certification.

🌿 Herbs & Flowers

Cut Flowers & Herb Bundling

Fine 2–4 ply cotton twine for bunching fresh-cut herbs, lavender and floriculture stems. Food-contact safe. Ties cleanly and holds firm even at high humidity. Suitable for post-harvest packaging and market display.

🌱 General Horticulture

Plant Staking & Nursery Use

All-round natural cotton twine for seedling support, graft tying, tree nursery training and outdoor staking. Available on small craft bobbins or bulk 5 kg production reels to suit any operation size.

Built for the
demands of
commercial growing.

Every bobbin we ship meets the same production standard: consistent twist, uniform diameter, zero knots. Growers running automated clip systems or manual tying in high-volume greenhouses depend on uninterrupted feed — which is why our 5 kg bobbins are wound knot-free as standard.

Common Questions

Frequently asked by
greenhouse buyers.

Is the twine safe for organic-certified greenhouses?

Yes. Our cotton greenhouse twine contains no synthetic fibres, chemical coatings or plastic components. It is compatible with organic growing programmes under EU Regulation 2018/848 and equivalent standards. Always confirm with your certification body for final approval.

How long does the twine take to biodegrade in soil?

Under normal soil conditions, 100% cotton twine begins to break down within a few weeks and fully biodegrades within a single growing season. It leaves no microplastic residue — unlike polypropylene or polyester alternatives.

What ply count do you recommend for tomatoes?

For standard indeterminate tomato varieties in vertical wire systems, 4 to 8 ply provides the best balance of tensile strength and flexibility. For heavier heirloom varieties or long-season crops, 10 to 12 ply is recommended. We can send multiple ply samples for field comparison.

Can you supply twine wound onto smaller bobbins for hand-tying?

Yes. While our standard production bobbin is 5 kg knot-free, we can wind onto smaller bobbins for hand-tying operations. Minimum order quantities apply — contact us to discuss your specific requirement.

Do you export directly or through distributors?

We supply directly to greenhouse operators, agricultural cooperatives and horticultural distributors. Direct factory supply from Denizli means shorter lead times, consistent product specification and no intermediary margin.

Can you match a competitor's twine specification?

In most cases, yes. Send us a sample or the technical data sheet of the twine you currently use and we will produce a matched specification for comparison. We work with buyers who are transitioning from synthetic twines to our natural cotton alternative.
